THE Capital of Culture title is officially ours.
The European Union judges in Brussels have declared: "The panel agree unanimously to recommend that Liverpool hosts the European Capital of Culture in 2008."
Their report, more than a month ahead of deadline and obtained by the ECHO, praises Liverpool's case as "excellent and showing a vibrant enthusiasm and energy".
