ANOTHER facet of Liverpool's past has been uncovered as preparation work begins on the £800m Paradise Street development. Archaeologists have already located the walls from Liverpool's old dock beneath the NCP car park near Chavasse Park. And they have now discovered the cellars of houses and shops beneath the parkland dating back to the 18th century. .:More:.

I'm sure somewhere around there there's the remains of the Old Liverpool Castle Not sure though. The old Castle of Liverpool was built on the land where the Victoria Monument is, Kev. So not too far from Chavasse Park.

OMG! If there's something I've tried to find, it's a pic like that! Nice 1 Howie. Thanks! --------------------------------------------------------------------- I went to Paris a few weeks ago and visited the Lovre Art Gallery. They have actually preserved the remains they found of a medieval castle on the site and now forms part of the gallery, fantastic...we should do the same if we ever found anything! www.louvre.fr/louvrea.htmClick for 3 virtual tours..a little off topic, soz.
