ONE of the most controversial bands of the eighties, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, has been reunited after 17 years apart.
The legendary Liverpool band - an overnight success after Relax was banned from Radio 1 for its sexually suggestive lyrics - have met up again for a one-off concert.
They have got together for the first time since 1987 for the Bands Reunited programme that will be shown on TV channel VH1 on April 2.
Holly Johnson was the last of the band to agree to the reunion.
He said: "Today I live a normal life in north London, taking the dog for a walk." He said his initial reaction was: "Excuse me for laughing, I find that highly amusing. We haven't been in a room together since 1987."
Liverpool band A Flock of Seagulls have also re-formed for the television programme. Founder members Ali and Mike Score fell out and drummer Ali, 47, left and now works in a North Carolina plastics factory.
Their reunion show is on March 30.
