My favourite author!!
Kevin Sampson was born in Liverpool and brought up in Birkenhead. He has written for The Face , I-D , the Observer , NME , Loaded , Arena and was a contributing editor to the influential terrace fanzine The End.
1986: Cosmopolitan Young Writer of the Year. This led to a Features job with The Mail on Sunday.
1987 - 1988: Assistant Youth Editor at Channel 4.
In December 1988, Kevin left Channel 4 to set up Kinesis Films, an independent film and TV production company. They made a feature for Film on Four and a succession of documentaries on a range of cultish subjects, including the award-winning A Short Film About Chilling, about club culture in Ibiza.
1990 - 1995: Managed the Liverpool band, The Farm.
