HIGH-FLYING Liverpool actor Jason Isaacs hit the heights in Peter Pan - and now, The insider can reveal, he is winging his way to the States after landing another plum part.
The affable actor, who played evil Captain Hook AND Wendy's father, Mr Darling, in the fantasy favourite, has joined the cast of the hit US show The West Wing.
It's the latest in a long line of career successes for Jason, who hails from Childwall and was a pupil at King David School.
Before appearing in the first-ever Peter Pan real-time movie, he played Harry Potter's arch-enemy Lucius Malfoy in the second Potter epic and also starred in the Hollywood blockbuster Black Hawk Down and with Mel Gibson in The Patriot.
And yet the man who has made love - on screen - to Kirstie Alley and appeared in drag alongside Keanu Reevesand Charlize Theron, while having also shared top billing with Nicholas Cage, Dennis Quaid, Jeff Goldblum and Kurt Russell, could so nearly have ended up spending his life in stuffy courtrooms - as opposed to enjoying the Hollywood high life.
