GOVERNMENT minister Yvette Cooper yesterday praised Liverpool's efforts at transforming itself through its heritage.
She said: "Five million people visit the Albert Dock each year, and in many ways it has become a symbol of the wider efforts in Liverpool which have borne fruit with the successful Capital of Culture bid.
"Liverpool's efforts at the Albert Dock have encouraged many others across the country."
