RECORD investment in south Liverpool has led to the "house full" signs going up at Boulevard Industry Park.
Just five years since the 65-acre site was opened the last plot has been snapped up by vaccine maker Chiron Corporation.
It has attracted more than £100m of investment and created almost 1,400 jobs for the Speke Garston area.
Former regeneration body the Speke Garston Development Company and Liverpool development partner Intercity originally opened the park.
Today it is administered by the recently-formed Liverpool Land Development Company and its chief executive David Waugh said today: "The Boulevard Industry Park has probably been Merseyside's most successful industrial development of recent years."
Chiron has confirmed it will be taking the final 6.2-acre plot for its £85m Liverpool site expansion.
The company, which is one of the world's biggest flu vaccine manufacturers, has already completed two previous expansion projects at the park as part of a £70m scheme.
Mr Waugh said: "Chiron's investment is great news for the whole area."
When the park was launched it was mainly aimed at companies in the automotive and biopharmaceutical sectors because of its proximity to the Jaguar Halewood plant and the existing pharmaceutical firms.
The Jaguar link alone has attracted investment from six firms supplying goods and services to the car giant, including US-based suppliers Merplas, Lear and Visteon.
Boulevard's sister site, the Estuary Commerce Park, over Speke Boulevard on the former airfield site, is also attracting major investment, including the new £30m National Biomanufacturing Centre.
Intercity managing director Simon Parker welcomed the final letting, but added: "We remain fully committed to the area via the Estuary Commerce Park where new buildings have recently been completed for the Liverpool Blood Centre and for computer games firmBizarre Creations."
