LIVERPOOL people are living longer and enjoying a better quality of life, according to new research.
Public health chiefs this week published their annual report which examined the state of people's health in the city. They found that, while health was generally improving, 18 of the 33 Liverpool wards had a mortality rate of 50% above the average.
And they see 2008, Capital of Culture year, with the social and economic benefits arising from it, as being a major opportunity to improve health.
