LIVERPOOL retail giant Littlewoods yesterday announced more than 600 job losses - 170 of them at Widnes - as part of a restructuring of its home shopping divisions.
The Widnes call centre will close by the end of March next year as will another centre in Leeds. A Shop Direct warehouse in Bolton will also close with the loss of 45 jobs.
Another call centre at Bolton is also being shut although the 450 workers will be offered work in Oldham.

BUT a new combined business will be run from Littlewoods' new purpose-built headquarters at the Estuary Commerce Park in Speke.
