LIVERPOOL and Chester city centres are two of the most attractive places to shop in the UK, according to a new league table.
The table, compiled by business information research group Experian, shows Liverpool has climbed five places to 13th in the top 50 since last year.
That is 18 places better than Manchester's Trafford Centre which has fallen three places to 31. Chester city centre remains just outside the top 10 at number 11.
Retail experts at Experian believe Liverpool may surge into the top 10 when new planned developments, including the £750m Grosvenor scheme and the nearby Met Quarter, are completed.
