Harbour company's profits rise
The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company has reported an increase in pre-tax profits for the six months to the end of June.
The figure is up from just over £27 million last year to almost £29 million.
Turnover has risen by almost 7% £151 million, while operating profit is up £2 million at £34.5m.
Chairman Gordon Waddell says container traffic continues to grow both in Liverpool and Dublin.
