EYESORE buildings within Liverpool's waterfront World Heritage Site zones have been earmarked to be demolished or dramatically overhauled.
City planners have drawn up a hit-list of buildings which detract from the city's world heritage status.
An estimated 15% have been classed as having a "negative" effect on the site.
::The Mersey Ferry Terminal and the Shanghai Palace Chinese restaurant on the Pier Head have been deemed inappropriate.
::The Coopers Emporium building on The Strand and the NCP multi-storey car park on Duke Street have also been given black marks by planners.

Its fine and dandy to suggest tearing down such and such a building, but what are they suggesting replaces it ?
I mean it was planners that put them up in the first place was'nt it ?
